Up until last year, Twitter’s Vine was one of the most popular video apps on the market. Even though it was officially shut down, there are still plenty of people who wish they could still use it, including Elon Musk, who asked Twitter users if he should try to bring back Vine in a new poll posted on Monday. But some people think his plan might not be as feasible as he thinks it is…

Do you think he should bring back vine?
As one of the most popular social media platforms on the internet, Twitter has a lot to offer users. But it’s not just an online platform for personal use, it’s also an important way for companies and individuals to create connections with their customers. So, when Elon Musk asks his twitter followers if he should bring back the now-defunct video app Vine, people listen! I think that this is a great idea because video is one of the most popular types of content on social media right now. Plus, people who have used it before will be able to create new content that can be shared with old friends on Twitter too!
What was your favorite vine video?
My favourite vine video is the one where a guy is out on a date with his girlfriend and she ends up being a lesbian. I think this video is so funny because the guy didn’t know what to do when he found out his girlfriend was gay. It’s also really entertaining to watch him try to fake happiness for her sake as she tries to make out with her new girlfriend, who just happens to be his best friend. His reaction is priceless and I find it really relatable, since we’ve all been there at some point in our lives.
What was your favorite meme on vine?
I personally loved all the memes on vine. In fact, I still have vines saved in my phone to this day. There is just something about a short video that can make me laugh out loud or even cry, but only for a few seconds.
I think what made these memes so great was that they were so relatable and they were made by people of all different ages and backgrounds who shared their everyday lives with the world through six-second videos. If Elon Musk asks twitter users if he should bring back vine, I hope he does because it would be a shame for all those memories to go away when we could easily save them to our phones and share them with others anytime, we want!
Do you have any suggestions for bringing back vine?
I think that the most likely way of bringing back vine would be for one of the current video sharing apps to acquire it. The most likely candidates would be YouTube and snapchat, with YouTube being the more likely candidate. There is a chance though, that a new start up could also acquire it if they are able to get enough funding from investors. I think that any potential acquirer should take the time to see what users actually like about vine and incorporate those features into their own app. They should also make sure that they have a good strategy for monetizing their app if they want it to become profitable.
